EFT Tapping for Empowerment

Whatever you fear most has no power, it is your fear that has the power. – Oprah Winfrey

If you truly put your heart into what you believe in, even if it makes you vulnerable, amazing things can and will happen. – Emma Watson

This week I choose to write about the power of tapping to empower ourselves.

The idea of empowerment can also be related to using affirmations to support us as we navigate ourselves through life.

But, when we are in a disempowered state, using affirmations is not very helpful especially when this energy is lingering in our system.

That is always the perfect time to tap and acknowledge how disempowered we feel, so that we loosen up and create some space.

When we have the space, it is easy for those affirmations to get anchored in our system and we can begin to embody a positive experience.

I’m sharing a video production, that I was privileged to be a part of below.

I have shared my thoughts on the topic “I’m not good enough” in this video along with many incredible women. My story begins after 20 minutes. It is very short and I hope you can take the time to watch.

Although I haven’t shared anything about tapping in this video, tapping is an important tool that helped me to address the “I’m not good enough” belief at a deeper level.

Another tip that I would like to share is from EFT Practitioner Mary Ayers, who shared that she personally tapped continuously for 90 days to shift and release the “I’m not good enough” belief.

As we honor and celebrate the women in our lives and the women across the globe this week, let’s remember that “We are enough” with all our strengths and weaknesses.

Surrogate Tapping

If you have the power to make someone happy, do it…the world needs more of that. – Germany Kent

There is nothing more beautiful than someone who goes out of their way to make life beautiful for others. – Mandy Hale

This week I choose to write about surrogate tapping, as I’m often asked about this topic, especially when I share EFT with groups.

Surrogate tapping can be defined as a healing intention or prayer that we send towards someone through tapping on ourselves.

Here are some things I have learned about surrogate tapping over the years.

  1. Asking for permission from the Higher Self of the individual for whom we are sending the healing energy or intention.
  2. Surrogate tapping can or should never be used to create a certain outcome that is beneficial for the person who is tapping. In other words, we can’t manipulate someone because we want them to be a certain way.
  3. The intention of surrogate tapping is really heart centered as the goal is to bring some kind of a relief to the individual who is experiencing some physical or emotional pain (which can be caused by stress in any area in our life).
  4. Surrogate tapping can be used for pets also.
  5. Always clear your emotions first regarding the individual/issue using tapping before you set intentions for anyone who needs healing.
  6. Every time we focus on clearing our emotions, we indirectly help everyone around us.
  7. EFT Master Gwyneth Moss suggests these three steps while doing surrogate tapping: talk about the individual/issue, talk to the individual, and finally talk as if you are the individual as you do tapping.
  8. You can also begin tapping in the side of your hand, by saying, “I’m ——–(say the name of the person in the blank)” three times and continue to tap as if you are the individual who needs healing.

Telling a new story about ourselves

We live in a society and culture that promotes hard work and being busy. People who are not busy can be judged as wasting time and not being engaged in an activity.

The success model put out by the society can be too much of a pressure and difficult to reach for many and when someone doesn’t achieve this model of success, it is very easy to judge them and think they are a failure.

Looking back and reflecting on the path that we walked will help every individual understand that they have done very well given their circumstances.

We all are trying to do the best we can with whatever resources that were available to us.

The one resource that is available to all of us is time. If you are someone who has been procrastinating on projects and not taking action on your goals, it is quite possible that you are hardwired by labeling yourself as a procrastinator.

All of us know that our past determines our present. What if, our past does not have to determine our present. What if, it is never too late to make a change and shift things in way that serves our highest good.

We have a braver and wiser self within us which can guide us to the next steps no matter who we were in the past.

If there is an inner voice that says I could have done better, one can reassure themselves that it is never too late to set reasonable and measurable goals and work towards achieving them.

If you are someone who is trying to seek approval from others for how to lead your life, ask yourself how old do you feel. A number will pop in your mind. Do not worry if the number is right, go back to the age and try to recall if you remember anything. If not, make a note of that age and let it go. If there was anything significant, it will come back to you at a later time.

Research shows that when we write our goals, tasks and action steps, we are more likely to complete them. If you are someone new to this idea, you can always start small by writing down one or two simple goals, achieving them, and checking them off from your list.

This will initiate the process of rewiring your hardwired limiting beliefs about yourself. When we are able to do this on a consistent basis, we are able to create new neural pathways in our brain and eventually these connections become stronger and we are able to break free from the old patterns of thinking and believing.

Research also shows that productivity is related to happiness. I want to circle back to the beginning of this blog post where I started with this idea of how hard work and being busy is promoted in our society.

If you set forth to achieving some goals and you still haven’t achieved them, it’s good idea to look into your emotions and begin addressing them first even before you take any action.

In the work that I do, that emotion is just stuck energy. And, once you clear that energy, you will gain clarity on what you want to do next and sometimes you may be surprised to know that it is just accepting and making peace with yourself.

We can never accomplish anything by judging, criticizing, and being hard on ourselves. But, we can accomplish at least something by acknowledging, appreciating and being kind to ourselves.

EFT and the Law of Attraction

Be the energy you want to attract.

What you think you become, what you feel you attract, what you imagine you create.

What you seed in your conscious, you will grow in your subconscious. – Nitin Namdeo

This week I choose to write about the relationship between EFT Tapping and the Law of attraction.

More than a decade ago, I watched the documentary “The Secret” through which I got introduced to the Law of attraction. I’m sure many of you are very familiar with the Law of attraction. After watching the movie, I also read the book, “The Secret”. I literally got hooked to this idea that we attract what we think, although this idea was not new to me and it has been around for quite some time.

In the following weeks after I read the book I shared my thoughts about the Law of Attraction with some of my friends. This was even before I got trained in tapping. After I began using tapping and learning about energy and how shifting our energy can also lead to a desired outcome, the idea of law of attraction became easier to understand and follow.

When we think about the law of attraction, we also need to think about our vibrations and frequency. Using a tool like tapping helps us to acknowledge the vibration or frequency (in other words, our current state of mind and our emotions) that we are in and this is the first step in shifting our energy. When we begin to move our energy, we create space within ourselves first, before moving up the vibrational scale slowly and steadily.

We all are beings of energy and changing our vibrations can change our thoughts and the outcome. When we add tapping to shift our energy vibration, we can eventually begin to reinvent ourselves. For some, the experience may be breaking free of old thought patterns and behaviors. For some, it can mean shifting to a new way of thinking and believing. For some, being able to unhook from what they thought as the most important things in life and moving towards a greater sense of purpose, meaning, and fulfillment in life.

If we are still focused on a certain desired outcome, tapping to change the vibration will help us take inspired action towards achieving the goals with a shift in mindset. If you are someone who has been following the principles of law of attraction, and noticed that you haven’t gained much traction, I highly encourage you to use tapping and meet yourself where you are no matter where you are in your journey. Having the awareness that there are greater universal forces at play and letting go by allowing these forces to take the lead, achieving the desired outcome becomes easy and effortless.

Reasons to seek the help of an EFT Practitioner

Words of comfort skillfully administered are the oldest therapy known to man. – Louis Nizer

Emotional well being is just as important as breathing is. – BetterLYF

There is hope even if your brain tells you there isn’t. – John Green, Turtles all the way Down

A very Happy New Year to all of you!!

This week I choose to write about a few of the reasons to work with a trained EFT practitioner:

  1. A trained Practitioner will hold the space and be fully present with the client without pushing their agenda.
  2. When a client is held in a safe, loving space, the client is able to get out of their own way and be open to possibilities of healing.
  3. By asking the right questions, the practitioner can help uncover the blocks and core issues, which can lead to a major breakthrough in the healing journey.
  4. By establishing goals on what the client is trying to accomplish through EFT can serve as a roadmap to achieving success during a session.
  5. The client will feel heard, and validated throughout the session, as tapping is a client centered technique.

Here is a video for you that is related to the same topic, if you are interested.
